St Patrick’s Day

Saint Pasant patrick's day Dublintrick’s Day is a cultural and religious celebration of Ireland held on 17th March.

Is a celebration of the death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland. This day is a national public holiday, and also a bank holiday.

It’s typical to wear shamrocks or something green and drink a lot of beer. While 5.5 million pints of Guinness are consumed daily around the world, on St Patrick’s Day that number rises to 13 million.sant patrick's day Dublin

The shamrocks are very famous. The St Patrick’s Day custom of ‘drowning the shamrock’ was historically popular, especially in Ireland. At the end of the celebrations, the shamrock is put into the bottom of a cup, which is filled with whisky, beer or cider. It is drunk as a toast: to St Patrick, to Ireland, or to those present. The shamrock would be taken out and tossed over the shoulder for good luck.

If you will have a good time, in Dublin during the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th of March there is a four-day festival.

This festival was established by the government of Ireland in November 1995. At the festival, you will find different kind of activities: concerts, parades, etc.
There is a legendary parade that will travel across the city. In the parade, people will see talented performers, vivid colors, and awesome hand-crafted structures. Bands from Ireland will be joined by music ensembles from around the world, including France, Germany, the Bahamas, Switzerland and the USA.
