Going out tonight? Friends, live music, and a pint, please! There are many pubs with live music all over Dublin. As a student, it is fun to go out with your friends for a few drinks. We’ve made a list of pubs for students all over Dublin that are worth checking out at least once!

Peadar Kearney’s

Peadar Kearney’s is a quaint, cozy bar in an otherwise bustling part of the city. Located right outside Temple Bar this small venue is perfect for catching a sports game or listening to some live music.  The location makes it a perfect pub for students Live music is played every single day!

Porterhouse

Right in the heart of temple bar, this microbrewery is perfect for those who love an original, unique beer. Try the plain porter, as it is acclaimed to be one of the best stouts in the world, winning the international brewing industry award twice.

Vat House

Right by the Porterhouse is the VAT house, a traditional Irish Pub that gets its name from the Guinness brewing process. In the final stages of brewing Guinness is stored in large copper vats and left to mature, allowing to develop; hence VAT house. Therefore it is said he Guinness here is one of the best in the city!

O’Donoghue’s Bar

Right next to St. Stephen’s Green is a local favorite known as O’Donoghue’s. The pub features traditional Irish music and is a favorite of the popular Irish band The Dubliners. 7 nights a week, musicians come from all over to share their love of music.

Dicey’s Garden

One of the most popular bar/nightclubs is Dicey’s. With a DJ every day, 23 TVs, and daily drink specials, Dicey’s is a great place to watch sports, dance, and socialize.

Pavillion Bar

Located right next to Trinity College, the Pavillion Bar is a student favorite. Dating back to 1881, the bar has plenty of outside seating which makes it a perfect hangout spot for a sunny day

Woolshed Baa and Grill

This Australian themed Pub on the north side of the city. The staff is an international bunch from all over the world, this diverse mix reflects our customer base too. Woolshed might just be the best place to catch a sporting match if you’re looking for a fun, rowdy atmosphere.
