Dublin is a wonderful city but we know that it is also small. It just will take few days to  visit it. If you have seen all Dublin, it is time to start exploring Dublin surroundings!!

Howth

Howth is a fisherman village and outer suburb of Dublin. It is a very beautiful village. You can enjoy walking around the markets during the weekend and also, practising hiking if you like as they are great routes.

Also, it is said that is a perfect place to buy seafood and have fish and chips!!! It is very easy to arrive as you also need to take the dart and you will arrive approximately in 20 minutes. Also, you can take the 31/a bus.

The cliffs of Howth are not as impressive as the Cliffs of Mother but even though you will love them!!!!

 

Dún Laoghaire

This amazing town is the perfect place to go to spend a Sunday as there are some food and craft markets in Dun Laoghaire in Summer and you can walk while you breathe in the sea air and watch the world go by as you stroll along Dún Laoghaire’s mile-long East Pier Walk.

You’ll pass the beautiful Victorian bandstand as fishing boats and yachts sail quietly in and out of the harbor. Another recommended spot is the People’s Park. Created as a formal Victorian garden, this scenic space is enclosed by wrought iron railings, inside of which you’ll find beautifully landscaped lawns and bright flowers.

Also, you can go to swimming in the popular Forty foot if you are brave!!!

You can take the dart or take the 7 bus from O’Connell to arrive there.

Malahide

Another place you can visit is Malahide which is  located in north County Dublin. The jewel in Malahide’s crown is its spectacular Malahide Castle; one of Ireland’s oldest castles. Tours regularly run inside, revealing what life was like for the Talbot family who lived there for almost 800 years. There are four main rooms open to the public, including the lavish Great Hall. An interactive exhibition on the ground floor retells not only the Talbots’ story, but the many ghostly figures that haunt the castle to this day!

You can arrive at Malahide taking the Dart from the city-centre to Malahide DART Station, or take the 42 bus from Talbot Street.

Glendalough-Wicklow

The Glendalough Valley is located in the Wicklow Mountains National Park and has many attractions to entice, entertain and enthrall visitors, from its world famous Monastic Site with Round Tower to its scenic lakes and valleys, as well as a selection of walks and trails in the area including The Wicklow Way.

You can arrive at Glendalough by car or by bus from Kevin St. Also, you can book a tour you bring you there.
