You can visit the remains of Sant Valentine

it seems incredible to believe but the remains  Sant Valentine are in Dublin! Maybe it’s not well known outside of Ireland but the Whitedriar Carmelite church in Dublin ensures to have the reminds of the love patron in a small golden coffin.

 

The tomb of Saint Valentine is to the right of the main nave, and the sarcophagus is placed under a marble altar, protected by a wrought iron gate and crystal. Above the altar is a statue of the saint, embedded in a niche of marble mosaic.

Visit some museums

Probably you know that most of the museums in Dublin are free. If you go to the National Gallery you will find the amazing masterpiece of Caravaggio: The capture of Christ. It is one of the highlights of a collection that includes Van Gogh, Monet, Titian, Rubens, Van Dyck and Irish expressionist Jack B Yeats.

Also, You can admire the artistic chaos of Francis Bacon’s studio at the Hugh Lane Gallery, examine the work of Dorothy Cross, Louise Bourgeois and filmmaker Neil Jordan at the Irish Museum of Modern Art and study Eileen Gray, one of the most influential designers in the World at the National Museum of Decorative Arts and History. All without spending a penny.

For couples who like gastronomy and beer

Typical Irish food

You can try the authentic Irish food such us coddle ( a stew of sausage, bacon, onion and potatoes) colcannon ( potatoes and cabbage) or boxty (potatoe and flour omelette) in  Gallagher’s Boxty House.

Romantic restaurants

 

You will enjoy of a lovely night if you go to have dinner at Cafe Di Napoli at 41 Westland Row, Dublin 2. You will enjoy Opera and tasty Italian food. It is the perfect place to bring your couple.

Another amazing restaurant is Terra Madre located at 13 Bachelors Walk, North City, Dublin 1. Also, it is an Italian restaurant. You will find amazing food but notice that you need to book in advance as it is pretty small restaurant.

Pubs

If you are more than drinks than food you must go to take a beer at Capitol Lounge which is located at 1 Aungier St.  They have amazing deals like 2 coctels for 7€ very day. as it is a great pub with many kinds of coctels. If you prefer beer, you must go to Temple bar as you will find such variety of pubs with live music.

 

For couple who likes concerts

Steven Mangan will sing Michale Bublé Songbook on 14th of February at 8 pm at Mill Theatre Dundrum.
